“I DRAW WITH PANTYHOSE”
Lucine is the first-and-only known artist in her craft, working with torn pantyhose and custom-built canvases on a 2D plane. Through this unconventional medium, she constructs tactile drawings that blur the line between fragility and resistance. Her practice interrogates the garment medium as both subject and strategy—inviting a feminist reading of materials historically tied to control, sensuality, and discipline. Lucine’s work emerges from a self-developed technique that draws from textile, sculpture, and performance, asserting a new language for bodily memory, constraint, and release.
