VOTES FOR WOMEN (1914)

This is where they look

Now that our skirts
are hemmed high
above our ankles

There’s so much more body for viewing angles

We carry this message “Votes for Women”
And use our domestic skills politically

“Deeds, not words” we require

Which must free
she and me

I wonder, in 100 years
when we achieve
the goals of our fellow Suffragees
Will we be asking the same of our sires?

---

Today
as a woman of the 21st century

Confidently
I say
Though we have the ability
to vote

The pattern lives on
it’s too familiar

Men are “all talk, no action”

These scrotes
in power
belong drowned
in a moat
