Poem by Lucine Kaplan

POPPIES (SCENE III)

These flowers may be a sleeping bed for some to stay.
But for Witches, Poppy fields are a place
to frolic and play.
A hummingbird joins the fun, “Remember this
feeling, Good Witch.
Joy is just a moment away— when you get the itch.
Use this energy to take you to the next stitch—
in the web of life.
This will keep you balanced when you come across
anxiety and strife.”
