BIG BREAK (1984)
Finally, out of the house, free
Working a 9 to 5 J-O-B
I can buy a Birkin with my own CC
No man will fuck with me
Independent woman, all I need is me
But walking the streets, cat calls and whistling
Like a piece of meat
Finally
Safe in my building, into work, chin up high
My boss pulls me aside
Into his office, cornered, he demands
him I climb
I freeze, seemingly oblige
To HR I cry
Ignoring my why
They say there’s a tear in my ny--
--lons, long walk home
Passed the dogs of the construction zone
The only place I’m safe is alone
